To all those who have helped us along the way...

Our journey began 6 years ago (almost to the day), and this marks the end of a major stage in my (our) life. I've spent lots of time this weekend walking through the house, reflecting on the steps to get here, and marveling at the fact that it is all real. I'm grateful for the process and the many emotions that have come along with it. And I'm glad to have completed this project in true partnership with my brother and with the support of so many people in my life.

In a way I'm sad that the house is done. It's kind of like the day after Christmas when everything you have been looking toward is finally over. But I have to remind myself that this is not the end. Quite the opposite. From here, we pivot and begin to make new memories, always with an eye to the future.

While the "mini cabin" and the house are the product of hard work, determination, and big ideas, the story of this piece of land is so much more than that. Planted in the roots of this process are all the people who can lay claim to all that has been created here. We owe everything to the people who helped make this a reality. Builders, friends, family and loved ones, Pop, Grandma, and of course, Mom.  We dedicate all of this to all of you. Thank you.

“Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.”
